New acquisition of ANECT a.s.
ANECT, the leading supplier of professional solutions in the area of information and communication technologies, has acquired a majority stake in iCom Vision s.r.o.
iCom Vision s.r.o. is a modern and dynamic company providing complete solutions and services operating on mobile networks and the Internet. The company was founded in 2002 and from the beginning it established itself as a creator of innovative solutions providing corporate customers with significant financial savings and unlimited mobility. iCom Vision together with the design of mobile services for corporate customers it is also active in the area of mobile security (antivirus and firewall), mobile payments and micro-payments, processing multimedia content for mobile phones and the design, elaboration and implementation of user interfaces for services on mobile phones in the WAP, Java and Symbian environments.
The company has received many prestigious awards for its work, such as MMS TOP 2003, Creative Mobile Award 2004 and 2003, and Best Mobile Solution 2005.
Among the main customers are leading telecommunication companies and mobile operators in the Czech and Slovak Republics, major mobile phone manufacturers and corporate customers of the services sector.
The acquisition strengthens the current position of ANECT a.s. particularly in the area of services provided over the Internet and mobile networks and expanding capacity in other areas, which is confirmed by the Managing Director of ANECT, Miroslava Řiháka: „We are looking for ways to fulfil our strategic goal, expand the portfolio in the area of providing services over the Internet and mobile communications. iCom Vision, s.r.o. attracted us primarily because of its focus on innovative solutions, corporate clients and telecommunications."
Director of iCom Vision, s.r.o., Ondřej Švihálek, adds „I see the combining of the know-how in the area of mobile communications and the innovative and dynamic approach of iCom Vision with the strength and experience in the area of standard telecommunication solutions of ANECT as a fundamental step towards successfully exploiting the huge potential of the market for converging mobile, fixed and multimedia services for corporate customers."
Ondřej Švihálek (director of iCom Vision s.r.o.) and Jiří Procházka (financial director and member of the board of directors of ANECT a.s.) were appointed executive directors of the company.
The acquisition should be concluded by the end of September. Both sides have agreed that the financial terms of the acquisition will not be made public.
