Complete IT outsourcing is now being selected by small and medium sized companies

The architectural and development company A PLUS a.s., which has around 50 employees, has opted for the complete outsourcing of its IT department. From the summer of this year the administration and development of its IT is being looked after by an external supplier, ANECT. All required hardware and software is leased to the company. This comprehensive outsourcing solution is providing A PLUS with savings in the region of 750 thousand crowns.

"The complete IT outsourcing solution means that the company does not own any IT equipment or employ any IT specialists but utilises the IT resources of its external supplier. This brings with it a range of advantages and financial savings," explains Marek Šoltys, Business Director of ANECT a.s.

ANECT will be responsible for all IT administration and development at A PLUS; the required equipment and software will be supplied to the company and installed on a lease basis. The total annual cost of such solution is in the order of several million crowns, but it will bring A PLUS net savings in the region of 750 thousand crowns.

"In particular we are saving on expenses and costs for training IT specialists. There are also further benefits such as simplified accounting for all IT services in the form of one monthly invoice, the ability to almost immediately update and develop the entire IT setup or the mutual interconnection of all services and the unified user environment. Thanks to outsourcing we will better be able to concentrate on the core activity that the company specialises in and which generates our profit," said Jaromír Černý, member of the Board of Directors of A PLUS a.s.

As part of this project an audit of software and hardware was performed. By the end of August the alteration of workstations will have taken place, a new architecture for the LAN network will be proposed including a firewall configuration. During September a mail server will be installed. By June 2008 the company plans to have a new internet portal up and running.
