ANECT has contributed to the equipment for a super-clean laboratory at Motol Teaching Hospital

ANECT has given 200 000 CZK to Motol Teaching Hospital in Prague. This sum will be used to equip a super-clean laboratory with new apparatus. This laboratory is the first in the Czech Republic to meet this level of cleanliness and it plays an important role in global research into immunology.

The main new piece of equipment in the laboratory will be a BMT (Brněnská medicínská technika, a.s.) steam sterilizer which will be used to sterilise solid unpacked appliances and materials intended for steam sterilisation. The remaining amount will be used to purchase a printer for this sterilizer.

The super-clean laboratory premises are used to prepare antitumour vaccines from dendritic cells which are an essential part of the immune system. Their task is to identify bacteria and viruses in the human body and to inform other components of the immune system of their presence.

As proof of their support for this project members of ANECT's management and other employees have also voluntarily given blood plate samples.
