Research and Innovative Projects

Research, development and innovation are among ANECT´s key activities. The company participates in the international scientific research project MASTER (Managing Assurance, Security and Trust for sERvices) and has been developing its own unique technology called ALUCID® (Anonymous Liberal User Centric electronic IDentity).

MASTER - Managing Assurance, Security and Trust for sERvices

MASTER is a collaborative project funded under the EU 7th Research Framework Programme. It is aligned to the strategic objective 1.4 Secure, Dependable and Trusted Infrastructures defined by the European Commission in the FP7 ICT Work Programme 2007 - 2008.

The project is coordinated by 15 partners - industrial corporations, universities and research institutions from 9 EU and EEA countries.

The project focuses on information systems security issues. The project team develops new dynamic and secure systems built on a service-oriented architecture and deals with various issues of the systems reliability and trustworthiness for outsourcing and distributed management. The project defines rules and methodologies, which are also used when prototypes are being developed. The final trustworthiness model - after being tested in two real business cases (one in San Raffaelle Hospital in Italy, the other in CESCE insurance house in Spain) - will be used for creating the EU information security standard.

ALUCID® (Anonymous Liberal User Centric electronic IDentity)

ALUCID® is a highly innovative technology providing:

  • considerably simplified user environment (fully automated; all third parties excluded)
  • built-in privacy protection (no unprotected personal data)
  • improved security (automated operation; other built-in security functionalities; support of other algorithms with flexible parameter setup)
  • more efficient customer care from the e-services provider (built-in automated tools for management of eID and its security parameters)

The patent application for the ALUCID technology was submitted to the Industrial Property Office in 2007. In the following year, the designers submitted a grant request for the international patent application within the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations - INNOVATIONS Programme - Projects for Industrial Property Protection (project identification number: 4.1 INP01/056).
